Casting rumors regarding the TWILIGHT star have been all over the news lately and today we bring you another one, although this time it seems a bit more substantial. In a recent interview for a French magazine Inrockuptibles (translation courtesy of the actor’s fan site), Robert Pattinson revealed that he and David Cronenberg already have another collaboration in the cards. Here’s the relevant quote:
“I’m filming another movie with Cronenberg but i don’t know when he wants to start filming. It’s going to be his first one in the US and he promises it’s going to be very strange.”
Strange, huh? I wonder if that’s VIDEODROME-strange or NAKED LUNCH-batshit-insane. In any case, while the verdict is still out on how well Pattinson tackled his role in COSMOPOLIS, it’s good to hear Cronenberg is about to send more of his trademark weirdness our way. I mean, nothing wrong with his more “subtle” flicks, but I personally missed the Cronenberg of old.
