Ok, anyone who’s been reading the site since I started knows how much I love Sideshow Collectibles (and I’m not just saying that, either). These guys know how to do movie collectibles the right way and don’t skimp out on the details.
Take these model kits based on Robocop and ED-209 from (what else?) ROBOCOP. Standing 12″ and 15″ respectively, the amount of detail put into these suckers is amazing. Robo has a working authentic thigh pistol holster and comes with interchangeable hands (complete with spike) and stand, whereas the ED-209 is detailed right down to the wires coming from each arm cannon in the back and the microphone grill head (which is really what the FX team used for the puppet) and is fully articulate like Robo. Pure sweetness!
As always with Sideshow, these puppies are limited edition , and aren’t cheap. Set to ship the 3rd-quarter of this year, Robo will go for $129.00 and ED-209 for $195.00.
