Roman Polanski’s The Tenant hits U.S. Blu-ray for first time this July

REPULSION and ROSEMARY'S BABY director Roman Polanski's eerie 1976 psychological thriller THE TENANT is coming to Blu-ray for the first time in North America via Scream Factory this July. Extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date. Polanski stars as Trelkovsky

a quiet, timid file clerk increasingly overshadowed with dread and fear after he moves into his new apartment. Adding to his paranoia are the building's other occupants, who do nothing to alleviate his growing obsession with the untimely, tragic fate of the apartment's previous tenant. Is Trelkovsky's dread truly justified – or is it simply the result of his seemingly disintegrating mental state?

The film sports an 88% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: A rough-edged thriller that lacks the precision of Polanski's best work but makes up for it with its skillful mounting of paranoia, dread, and dark themes. It co-stars Isabelle Adjani, Melvyn Douglas, Jo Van Fleet, and Shelley Winters. Once again, the psychological thriller hits Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. via Scream Factory on July 28, 2020
