Good news dear readers…especially if you live in Texas. Ti West, writer/director of the highly anticipated THE ROOST, has announced to Fangoria that the flick will have its World Premiere in Austin, TX at the South By Southwest festival.
Said West, “It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to heading to Austin in March. I don’t know the screening dates yet, but it’s going to be our world premiere. I’m very pumped about that…I hope we have some sort of midnight-movie type of screening. We’ve also submitted to the Tribeca Film Festival, but we haven’t heard back from them at this point.”
Considering the hype this little genre gem that could has garnered so far, hopefully it will find itself a US distributor at the SxSW fest. It might not open as big as WHITE NOISE did this past weekend, but at least the responsible parties will still be able to look at themselves in the mirror.
