Fan favorite CLONE WARS character Ahsoka Tano may finally be getting the live-action treatment as rumors have none other than Rosario Dawson portraying Anakin Skywalker's padawan. The character is said to be joining the cast of THE MANDALORIAN Season 2, which is slated to launch on Disney+ in October later this year.
Dawson, who most recently headlined the thriller series BRIARPATCH as well as playing the role of Claire Temple on the various Marvel-Netflix shows, has been long connected with this particular STAR WARS character. Ahsoka Tano debuted in the feature film version of THE CLONE WARS. Initially, audiences were resistant to the character, voiced in animated form by Ashley Eckstein. In the multiple seasons of the animated series as well as the follow-up REBELS, Ahsoka developed into a layered character who served as both an entry for female viewers into the expanding STAR WARS mythos as well as one of the more unique Jedis in Lucasfilm history.
