Rose Byrne reveals the origins of the first mutant in X-Men: Apocalypse clip

There seems to be quite a mixed response among X-MEN fans towards Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse, mostly due to the character's appearance, but I feel confident that Isaac's performance will quickly overcome any lingering concerns about his outfit. We're now under a month away from the release of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, so we're about to enter that stage when studios feel compelled to reveal far too much footage from their upcoming film. Twentieth Century Fox has released the first X-MEN: APOCALYPSE clip which features Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) revealing the existence of the first mutant to Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Alex Summers (Lucas Till).

Check it out!

A behind-the-scenes look/Coldwell Banker promo for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE has also been released, which mostly focuses on the creation of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It looks like we'll be seeing more of the school than ever this time around, including a new library wing and a basement hanger for the X-Men's jet.

A synopsis for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
