Rose McGowan traded in for Megan Fox in upcoming Red Sonja reboot?

We received a small update as to the status of the Robert Rodriguez produced reboot of RED SONJA last month that basically said they were waiting on moving forward until they see how the CONAN reboot does (check that story HERE). Since then, McGowan has taken on a roll in the CONAN remake as a half-witch hootchie (HERE), leading us to scratch our heads in wonder… is McGowan still on board to play the red-haired warrior?

According to PAJIBA, the answer is… NO! The site has exclusively learned that McGowan has been dropped from the project, as well as once-attached director Douglas Aarniokoski. Not only that, a new script is being pounded out, and Millennium Films has thrown an offer to the one and only Megan Fox for the roll of Red Sonja!

Let that sink in for a minute. Megan Fox, leather bikini’s and other tight and revealing clothing, flowing red hair, and all kinds of swordplay. Sounds awesome, no? Sounds amazing? Sounds like something you probably want to see? If only Fox was a better actress…

Of course, Fox hasn’t accepted the roll, and for all we know this could be total bullshit, but just think of the possibilities if Fox does accept. Maybe this will be the film she can really sink her teeth into and show us that she’s more than T&A… but that she can fight too! Oh, and act. That’d be a good thing to show off, too.
