Greg Mclean’s ROGUE is FINALLY getting a North American theatrical release! While no specific date has been named, the epic killer croc flick has been scheduled to go theatrical sometime this spring. Music to my ears, as I’ve heard only good things about this flick, and I’m ALWAYS down for a killer croc movie.
TWC also announced that John Hillcoat’s THE ROAD, starring Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, and Guy Pearce, is also has a newly revised time for its release – looking at sometime this Fall/Winter 2008, instead of the originally planned 2009 date. No specifics have been released yet, but considering they’re looking to release during the Oscar season, I’m very optimistic that this one’s gonna rock.
Hopefully the ROGUE release will pan out this time, as I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many times the release of this beast has been announce, retracted, announced as a straight to DVD, then simply theatrical, then never, then next week, then next month… if it lands a release date this Spring and it’s actually released this Spring… well, you can go ahead and color my ass surprised right now.
