Routh’s in Cracktown

JoBloJoBlo

Brandon Routh has been pretty quiet on the film front since he played his part in that little independent film SUPERMAN RETURNS. Apparently though, Routh has just finished filming the drama LIFE IS HOT IN CRACKTOWN for director Buddy Giovinazzo (NO WAY HOME).

The movie is a number of stories, which chronicle how crack-cocaine has infiltrated the inner-city streets. This is obviously something of a departure for Routh, and is in fact the very reason he was attracted to the project. He says that the role “allowed me the opportunity to stretch and play against type, while not carrying an entire film on my shoulders as such an extreme character.”

He also mentions that he is involved in a romantic-comedy that is waiting to be greenlit and a small independent drama which is still looking for a female lead. Yeah, because what girl wants to star opposite SUPERMAN?
