Rumor: New spoilers give us insight into how The Dark Knight will be portrayed in Batman vs Superman

JoBloJoBlo

So many Batman rumors, so little time. First it was casting rumors for additional roles in Zack Snyder‘s BATMAN VS SUPERMAN and now everyone is up in arms about the costume Kevin Smith claims to have seen. Either way, we are far enough away from the movie entering principal photography that all we have are rumors. The latest rumor though may have some heft behind it based on who it comes from.

Daniel Alter, a producer at Warner Bros and Relativity, has tweeted some details about Ben Affleck‘s Batman role and how he will be portrayed in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN:

Now Alter is not a producer on MAN OF STEEL or BATMAN VS SUPERMAN so what he is saying could simply be pieced together from what has already been spread around the Internet. We already heard that Batman would be more grizzled and aged than he was in Christopher Nolan‘s trilogy, but we did not hear anything about controlling drones from the Batcave. That would be an interesting take on the character and would support that roles are being sought for Nightwing versus Robin, further supporting Alter’s tweet.

Whichever route they go with Batman in the movie, I am excited to see a different take than we have had since Tim Burton‘s first film. Batman’s story has been told so many times that we don’t need another origin. Jumping into a late-career Batman is definitely going to give us something new on the big screen.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, and directed by Zack Snyder hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
