Rumor: Sources claim Jason Momoa is signed to appear in Batman vs Superman

Jason Momoa has been linked to BATMAN VS SUPERMAN almost as long as the movie has been announced. While it has been a few months since the rumor has made the rounds, it is now back once again. This time a source is saying it is more than just a mere rumor. Fansite Batman News is citing a source that says Momoa has actually signed a contract to appear in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN.

This comes a day after the casting of Cyborg, a role some connected with Dwayne Johnson or Momoa. Instead, theater actor Ray Fisher got that part which means Momoa could still be up for Aquaman or any other number of roles. Johnson has long been connected with playing Green Lantern and Josh Holloway‘s name popped up as an Aquaman contender. So, is Momoa a good fit for Aquaman?

I think we often forget that Momoa is also an adept actor at playing villains and has done so various times in recent years. Whether it be as Khal Drogo on GAME OF THRONES or opposite Sylvester Stallone in BULLET TO THE HEAD, Momoa could be playing a secondary villain to Jesse Eisenberg‘s Lex Luthor.

Whatever the actual role is, should this turn out to be true, Momoa is a solid addition to a film that has been chock full of intriguing casting decisions. BATMAN VS SUPERMAN starring Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Laurence Fishburne, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Ray Fisher, and Diane Lane is slated to open May 6, 2016.
