Have you guys heard of this new organ stealing thriller coming our way? No, it’s not REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA. No, it’s not REPOSSESSION MAMBO either. It’s actually a flick called RUN FOR HER LIFE. I guess the “organ-ripping” business is pretty fertile ground for film. Anyways, RUN may be the last on the list of stealing-from-people’s-insides suspense, but it just scored quite the first-rate cast. Check out the list of “donors”:
You’re getting the lovely Diane Kruger (above), Dermot Mulroney (ZODIAC), Sam Shepard (THE RETURN), Rosanna Arquette (PULP FICTION), Jordi Molla and French star Vincent Perez.
Not a bad collection of players if I do say so. Have a look at the flick’s plot: Kruger and Mulroney play parents who attempt to get a lung transplant for their dying daughter in Mexico. Okay, so what’s scary or horror-centric about that? Oh yeah, here’s the rest of the synopsis: But after agreeing to the operation, they face an ethical dilemma after discovering that the organs aren’t taken from willing donors.
There we go! “Unwilling donors” could make for some intense, frightening shit! Hopefully director Baltasar Kormákur will follow through with the suspense. Principal photography is currently underway in New Mexico with a release expected some time in 2009.
