Rupert Grint joins M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming Apple TV series

We haven't seen quite as much of Rupert Grint over the years compared to his HARRY POTTER cast-members Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, but that may change as Deadline reports that the actor is set to join the cast of M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming psychological thriller series for Apple.

We still don't know all that much of the plot for the series, but Deadline has heard that it will follow parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who have hired young nanny Leanna to help care for their newborn child. Rupert Grint is set to play Julian Pearce, Dorothy's younger brother. Game of Thrones' Nell Tiger will play Leanna with Six Feet Under's Lauren Ambrose playing Dorothy; the role of Sean Turner hasn't yet been cast. Tony Basgallop (To the Endsd of the Earth) created the untitled project, which Amazon has given a straight-to-series order, and will also write and executive produce the series. M. Night Shyamalan will also serve as an executive producer as well as direct the first episode, similar to his role on Fox's Wayward Pines. Thanks to the success of SPLIT, M. Night Shyamalan is (hopefully) back on the road to reclaiming former glories, so I'm excited to discover a little more about this as-yet-untitled series.

Speaking of SPLIT, M. Night Shyamalan will soon be unleashing a sequel to that film (as well as UNBREAKABLE) in the form of GLASS which will see the return of Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke. GLASS will hit theaters on January 18, 2019.
