Rupert Grint to star in Crackle series based on Guy Ritchie’s Snatch

Rupert Grint's post-Potter career hasn't exactly reached the same heights as his HARRY POTTER co-stars, which is a shame as I always enjoyed his performances in the Potter franchise. As for the future, Rupert Grint is set to star in (and executive produce) a new series for Crackle based upon Guy Ritchie's SNATCH, the crime/comedy film which dealt with a stolen diamond, fixed fights and an assortment of colourful characters.

Crackle's series will "carry the spirit" of Ritchie's film but populate the world with new characters. Centered on a group of young up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load full of stolen gold bullion, Snatch will find its ensemble thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime as they contend with "rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains" who all want a piece of the pie. Rupert Grint will play Charlie Cavendish, a dynamic, frustratingly chaotic and utterly posh con-man. The series will also star Dougray Scott as Vic Hill, a gangster who continues the con game from inside prison, and Ed Westwick as night club owner Sonny Castillo.

The first season of Snatch will consist of ten episodes and production is due to kick off next week in Manchester, England leading up to a 2017 premiere.
