IMDB is reporting that MTV’s TEEN WOLF pilot – which I still can’t really believe is happening – has found a director in horror veteran Russell Mulcahy. Mulcahy’s name should be familiar to genre fans, as he was behind such memorable flicks as HIGHLANDER (1 and 2), RAZORBACK, and RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION. Most recently he’s been attached to BAIT 3D, a killer shark thriller that’s scheduled to begin production in April.
TEEN WOLF is a dramatic thriller with a buddy-comedy element at the center and a romantic plot line. It revolves around Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a dorky high-school student who gets a rush of new powers, including the ability to attract girls, after a wolf attack.
So attracting girls is a “power” now? Shiiiiiiit, sometimes it’s a damn curse…
The cast includes Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, Colton Haynes and Dylan O’Brien. It should premiere later this year.
