Ryan Reynolds is deep underground in new Buried teaser poster

There’s a new teaser poster for Rodrigo Cortés’s BURIED that is pure genius in its simplicity, style, and overall effectiveness. Who would have ever thought that a poster that emphasizes the black “white” space would be so gosh-darn stylish? Much like the movie itself, it features Reynolds in a box, buried under a shit-ton of darkness. Me likey!

As a refresher course on BURIED, here’s the synopsis: Ryan Reynolds in a box for 90 minutes. Ok, so there’s a little more to it than that. In actuality, the “official” synopsis goes like this: Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time- fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.

Now that’s a little more like it! And if the cool new teaser poster wasn’t cool enough, they’ve also busted out a new official website that’s just dying for you to check out called ExperienceBuried.com. Check it out, yo!

BURIED is scheduled to hit theaters this October. Blackness has never looked so… black.
