Yesterday I told you all how Collider scored an interview with producer Neal Moritz. Well another piece of the interview popped up today. So what juicy announcement do we have this time? It seems Ryan Reynolds (right) will be starring in the adaptation of comic R.I.P.D.!
In case you haven’t heard of R.I.P.D. (we told you about that shite last month) I’ll let Moritz school you all on what we’re dealing with here:
“It’s about two cops, one recently dead and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years who work on the Rest in Peace department – which is the police department of the dead. And they basically…it takes place on a normal day and it’s about trying to keep the dead quiet.”
The Rest in Peace Department huh? Works for me! Mortiz says Reynolds is starring with a January start date being eyed. Apparently Reynolds will be playing the recently deceased cop in the PG-13 buddy’action comedy. That’s the just of the details but you can head right over HERE to check out the interview!
According to Moritz R.I.P.D. is Reynolds’ favorite project right now, even before DEADPOOL and GREEN LANTERN. Interesting… What do you guys think? With Reynolds on board where does that rank R.I.P.D. on your radar? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on R.I.P.D. as we hear it!
