Samuel L. Jackson to join Sebastian Stan in The Last Full Measure

It seems that we're on the verge of a mini-CAPTAIN AMERICA reunion as it has been announced that Samuel L. Jackson is set to join the cast of THE LAST FULL MEASURE alongside Sebastian Stan.

Based on the true story of a present-day cover-up investigation, the Todd Robinson (WHITE SQUALL, LONELY HEARTS) written & directed flick will follow a "young Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman (Stan) as he battles the political machine in Washington. He reluctantly teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic, William Pitsenbarger, who is seen saving the lives of over 60 Marines ambushed in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War.  As the battle waged on, and after the last helicopter left, he continued to save lives until his own was sacrificed."

In addition to Samuel L. Jackson and Sebastian Stan, THE LAST FULL MEASURE also stars Christopher Plummer (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO), William Hurt (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR), Bradley Whitford (The West Wing), Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) and Linus Roache (Vikings). Principal photography on THE LAST FULL MEASURE is set to kick off this month in Atlanta and Costa Rica. Foresight Unlimited's CEO Mark Damon, who will be funding the film, said that when he "read Todd Robinson’s exceptionally moving script and heard the real-life interviews of the many men whom William Pitsenbarger saved, I felt this could be a great film. With the award-winning cast that has been assembled, I am now sure of it."

Samuel L. Jackson will next be seen in KONG: SKULL ISLAND, which is set to hit theaters on March 10th, so make sure to check out a review from our own Chris Bumbray!
