Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds looking to star in Lost City of D comedy

Paramount Pictures has attached directors Adam and Aaron Nee to LOST CITY OF D, a film project that hopes to pair Sandra Bullock with Ryan Reynolds for a bit of adventure. Described as a Romancing The Stone-style romantic comedy/action, the project is based on an original idea by Seth Gordon, with Dana Fox penning the most recent draft of the script. For the moment, neither Bullock nor Reynolds are set to star. In fact, Reynolds' dance card is so full that the pairing might not work out at all, making this a wait-and-see situation.

The Nee Brothers are relatively unknown at this point in their career, though they are slated to direct MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, starring Noah Centineo, and they previously teamed for the indie films Band of Robbers and The Last Romantic.

Regardless of Reynolds' availability, the gears are still moving. Gordon will produce via his Exhibit A Films, alongside Bullock by way of her Fortis Films. Liza Chasin will also produce for 3dot Productions.

Previously, Bullock and Reynolds teamed for the romantic-comedy THE PROPOSAL (2009), which told the story of what happens when a pushy boss (Bullock) forces her young assistant (Reynolds) to marry her in order to keep her visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada.
