Sandra Bullock addresses Spider-Man, superhero movie rumors

America’s sweetheart and Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock has had a very impressive career over the years but has she ever been approached to do a superhero movie? According to Bullock, she has and it was her son Louis that told her to turn it down as the internet speculates which superhero project Bullock passed on.

The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new Netflix film The Unforgivable and that’s when Bullock told the late-night host she was up for a superhero project but her son told her to pass on it. Bullock said, “I was approached for something that wasn’t Marvel, but my son said to not do it.” The actress also confirmed that the superhero film wasn’t DC-related either by saying, “It was kind of in the place that Louis felt I shouldn’t be…and he was actually right. I saw it when it came out and I was like, ‘Ooo! That’s unfortunate.” You can watch Bullock’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live below!

Bullock jokingly said that “the internets will” figure it out but she didn’t reveal what the superhero project was. She did leave us with some clues by saying her son was about 6 years old at the time he told her not to do it and he’s 11 now. This would put any talks Bullock had about a superhero project around 2016. When Kimmel pushed her for more info, she did throw him off the scent by saying, “I forget their ages often, so it could’ve been 4, it could’ve been 7 or 8.”

Bullock also addressed an unconfirmed rumor that she was in talks to appear in a Spider-Man film as the comic book character Madame Web. Bullock was adamant that she has “never been approached by Marvel” for any role and went on to say, “I don’t think I’m Marvel material.”

Ok internet! Which superhero role do you think Sandra Bullock turned down?
