Fox has picked its Kinsey Locke.
The role of Kinsey, one of the three children at the heart of the network’s supernatural fantasy series “LOCKE & KEY” – based on Joe Hill’s graphic novels – has gone to Irish actress Sarah Bolger, reports Deadline. Bolger joins Miranda Otto in the show, the pilot for which will be directed by ONE HOUR PHOTO helmer Mark Romanek.
Bolger so far has been in flicks like IN AMERICA, THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES and the upcoming MOTH DIARIES, though she’s perhaps made her biggest impact on Showtime’s “The Tudors”.
After the murder of their father, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke relocate with their mother (Otto) to the family estate of Keyhouse, located in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. Sam Lesser, one of the teens who murdered Mr. Locke, is in a juvenile detention center and, by gazing in water, communicates with a supernatural force that promises to free him. Bode Locke, the youngest of the family, uncovers The Ghost Door, which separates his spirit from his body.
We’re still unsure when “Locke & Key” will air, but we’ll pass on that intel when we have it.
