It’s red-band time! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t totally sold on FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL when I saw the original trailer a while back and for the same reason this new one leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I just don’t like that final pearl necklace gag at all. But everything that happens before that is just great. Shocking revelation: Jason Segel bent over naked is hilarious. As per usual, Kirsten Bell looks otherworldly good, Mila Kunis is way cute, and Paul Rudd manages to steal the show with but one line. If you’re totally behind on this one, the film is about a dude who gets dumped by his girlfriend, TV star Sarah Marshall (Kirsten Bell), so decides to run away to Hawaii only to discover she is there with her new lover (Russell Brand). It’s another Apatow production, so you know, comedic greatness beckons.
