It’s been a while since Sideshow Collectibles announced a figure that wasn’t based on the STAR WARS universe or SCARFACE (though Al Pacino transcends all genres, in my opinion), so I was surprised in a couple of ways when Sideshow announced another figure based on TERMINATOR 2.
Dressed to the 9’s in her military gear from when she went to assassinate Dyson, Sarah Connor is the latest 12-inch collectible based on the film. Featuring realistic military gear and weapons including a tactical vest and M-4 A-Cog w/ Silencer, Sarah comes with a display base as well, so you don’t have to worry about her falling over. Exclusives this time from Sideshow are on the skimpy side this time, as the only exclusive you get from ordering direct from Sideshow is Sarah’s black cap. Yep, a black cap.
The head sculpt for Sarah looks bang-on like Linda Hamilton, though the body for the figure leaves a little to be desired. I mean, Ms. Hamilton was wiry in the film, but the body they chose for the figure gives her a big head syndrome in some shots. Ah well, at $49.99, you can’t complain. Expect this collectible in the fourth quarter of this year.
