This year is (obviously) dominated by THE DARK KNIGHT in terms of the number of nominations, racking in 11 overall, but there’s plenty of love given to everyone else as well.
I’m gonna just cut to the case and let you in on which flicks were nominated for Best Horror Film. And they are:

THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR
QUARANTINE
SPLINTER
THE STRANGERS
THE HAPPENING? THE MUMMY 3? Are these people f*cking serious? While The other nominations aren’t too far off, these two come as a slap in the face. Not that there were bursting amounts of great horror flicks in 2008, but nominating these two crap films is just plain ridiculous. So much for the integrity of the Saturn Awards, eh?
