Saw 2 Explained

This week we’ve been hereing more and more news on the upcoming SAW 2: HACKSAW (see article HERE), and most of us here have been worried that the project is going to be rushed, as they have yet to find a director, or a writer for the project with a projected Ocotober release.



Well the boys over at Dread Central got word from one of the flick’s producers yesterday that there is in fact a director already on board, and James Wan & Leigh Whannell are currently working on the scipt as we speak. Looks like HACKSAW will be considerably different from the original SAW as they’re going in a different direction for the sequel.



So who’s this mysterious director? Looks like we’ll have to wait and find out for the official announcement later this month, but the source claims that horror fans will be happy with the choice.



Good news all around, as the potential for HACKSAW to kick ass is way up there. SAW was awesome, and while only 2 characters from the original will be returning, HACKSAW’s plan to go in a different direction is very well welcomed indeed.



Be sure to hit up the SAW DVD February 15th, while HACKSAW is scheduled to hit theaters this October.
