Saw 3D coming to DVD and Blu-ray in January as Saw: The Final Chapter

Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release SAW 3D on DVD, Blu-ray, and 3D Blu-ray on January 25th. To make things a little more confusing, the video versions will go by the title SAW: THE FINAL CHAPTER, while the 3D Blu-ray is listed as SAW 3D: THE FINAL CHAPTER. Check out the cover art below. Special features are as follows:

– Deleted scenes
– Music videos
– 52 Ways to Die featurette (Blu-ray exclusive)

By now we know that the studio usually holds out on supplements for a special edition to be released in time for the next sequel, but this is the last SAW movie planned. Too bad FRIDAY THE 13th beat them to the title. I don’t see why they couldn’t just stick to the roman numerals for one last entry.

In SAW 3D, the seventh chapter, a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy. A group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru, and fellow survivor, Bobby Dagen. Soon though, the survivors really must help themselves as Dagen’s dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror…

SAW VI director Kevin Greutert and writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan return for the supposed last entry. The cast includes Cary Elwes, Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, and Sean Patrick Flanery.
