It seems the SAW franchise has earned itself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records! For what you ask? Well ‘Most Successful Horror Movie Series,’ that’s what! Pretty damn impressive, no? Then again in today’s day and age it’s not really a surprise that a franchise like SAW would be so successful. Call me what you will but I’m sticking with my beloved franchises of the past thirty years.
Collectively, the “Saw” films have made over $73O million at the worldwide box-office and sold more than thirty million DVDs, according to distributors Lionsgate.
Well yeah… that’s why we’ve got Part 7 coming out in a few months. The Guinness presentation will take place at San Diego’s Comic Con convention on Friday. SAW producer Mark Burg even hammered into the fact that SAW 3D will be the last installment over at Reuters.
