Well, I guess audiences can only take so much convolution…
According to Deadline, FX has decided to trim the finale of hit horror show “American Horror Story” from two hours to 90 minutes…citing a grueling production schedule as the reason why.
Because the show got a late jump, what with the pilot being ordered to series on July 18th for an October 5th premiere date, reshoots and 8-day work weeks have put the cast and crew under the gun. Therefore, it makes sense to cut back a bit and give us a mere 90 minute sendoff. It’s better than not having a 13th episode altogether, an option that was discussed with showrunners and FX brass.
Now, before I once again try to gauge the pulse of you all, allow me to posit an assertion. Everyone in “AHS” is dead, right? Why else would the Harmon’s be able to communicate with dead people who at some point resided in the house? My guess is the show is based on an entire SIXTH SENSE conceit, and we’ll soon find out that even the Harmon’s are dead. Otherwise, what the f*ck are we watching? Seriously?
The first season premiere is slated to air on December 21st.
