Scared to Death: Bill Moseley, Lin Shaye find horror in an abandoned orphanage

Genre regulars Bill Moseley and Lin Shaye have just found their latest horror project to work on – and Shaye is a producer on this one as well! Deadline reports that Moseley and Shaye have signed on to appear in Scared to Death, which will be filming in Los Angeles next month.

Written and directed by Paul Boyd (I, Challenger), Scared to Death will tell the story of a group of young filmmakers who enter an abandoned children’s orphanage in order to do research for a movie… and that’s their first mistake.

Scared to Death is coming to us from Mirror Films, and Shaye is producing the film alongside Eric Barrett.

Moseley and Shaye are joined in the cast by Olivier Paris (How I Met Your Father) and Daytime Emmy winner Victoria Konefal (Days of Our Lives).

Moseley and Shaye have both been showing up in horror movies since the 1980s. Moseley instantly became a genre icon when he played Chop-Top in 1986’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, while Shaye’s first two horror roles were as a receptionist in Alone in the Dark and a teacher in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Since then, Moseley has racked up roles in films like The Blob (1988), Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!, The First Power, Night of the Living Dead (1990), Army of Darkness, The Convent, Texas Chainsaw, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, and of course Zombie’s trilogy of House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and 3 from Hell. Shaye’s credits include Critters, Critters 2, The Hidden, Amityville: A New Generation, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Snakes on a Plane, Tales of Halloween, Ouija, The Grudge (2020), and of course the Insidious franchise. Both actors have many more genre credits than can be listed here – and yes, they have worked together before. Moseley and Shaye were both in the casts of 2010’s 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams and 2019’s Gothic Harvest
