So a couple weeks back we informed you all of a cool little festival where the folks behind Halloween Horror Nights and the Chiller Channel teamed up to award this year’s cream of the horror-short crop.
Well now we have a winner! Out of hundreds of submissions, ranging anywhere from 90 to 180 seconds, the much coveted top spot was issued to Drew Daywalt’s BEDFELLOWS.
Voted as Scary Good Film of the year, BEDFELLOWS was awarded by internet users who got to pick their favorite films from a roster of 10 finalists (which were whittled down from various industry judges, including SAW VI director Kevin Greutert).
So what’d Daywalt win?
First off, his film will enjoy a special screening on the Chiller Channel. He’ll also collect a cool $1,000 in cash, as well as reap two tickets to this years ante-upping Universal event Halloween Horror Nights, which kicks off October 2nd. Not to shabby, ay?
The 3-minute BEDFELLOWS stars Kelly Finlayson, Edin Gali, and Peter Giliberti – and boasts the intriguing tagline: Sometimes at night the person you are laying next to, isn’t the same person you went to bed with! Sounds killer, even if a little to close to my life story
Daywalt has spent the last year writing and directing 30 terror-filled shorts for the critically acclaimed Horror Troupe FEWDIO.
