We’ve surprisingly heard very little from Ryan Schifrin since his feature film debut ABOMINABLE. (Aside from a couple of shorts he’s made with Adam Green, that is.) Turns out the man’s been hard at work writing for another medium: the comics! We got the word that Schifrin’s graphic novel, THE DEVIL’S HANDSHAKE, hits stores tomorrow, NOVEMBER 25th. Schifrin co-wrote the book with legendary comic author Larry Hama, whom you might know as the guy behind many G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO comic.
In this standalone tale, renowned treasure hunters Alaric Moebius and Basil Fox embark on an adventure that takes them from the deepest jungles of New Guinea to the deserts of Lybia in search of a mysterious hidden pyramid that contains the power to end the world!
Schifrin also wrote the comic SPOOKS, which is on its way to becoming a movie. Can DEVIL’S HANDSHAKE be far behind? If and when that development occurs, we’ll let you know!
