Dread Central was able to talk with Scott on the set of his latest movie SOUTHLAND TALES (from the director of DONNIE DARKO– sweet!), and asked him if he was involved in the DEAD. Here’s what he had to say:
“You know I read about that. One of my friends said, “You should type your name in the computer.” I don’t know – there’s probably negative stuff (laughs), which might be really funny. One of the best things I ever did was I went on RottenTomatoes.com and I typed in The Dukes of Hazzard and it was the best worst reviews ever (laughs). I prefer to have all bad or all good. But then I typed my name in again for something and then I read that and I’m like, “Oh, I guess I’m doing that movie” (laughs). No I haven’t heard anything about it other than that. I loved those movies – I don’t know, I’d be worried a – I would for sure but I think a lot of people would be hateful. They would be like, “That guy?” I’d be worried about it, but I love horror films.”
Can’t say that I’m heartbroken about him not being Ash, but you gotta love the guy for his sense of humor. Let’s face it though, the guy doesn’t really have a serious side to him.
Let’s not forget he has a background in horror- he was that dorky kid in the pre-Stifler FINAL DESTINATION afterall. Dorky and goofy- not Ash in any way, shape or form.
