Scott, Forlani, Usher

Dougray Scott and his wife Claire Forlani will star in a contemporary adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic story “The Fall of the House of Usher.” It will be called THE USHERS and will be shot in 3-D, with Stephen Kay (The Shield) directing. The film will follow a brother and sister who have lived in a house in Martha’s Vineyard for a long time but have since begun to feel trapped there.

Wow, Dougray Scott might be the article subject that depresses me the most. He tied up Claire Forlani and he should have been Wolverine. I can’t be the only person who feels that way. Also, I think THE USHERS would be an awesome film if it was about like twelve Ushers (the R&B star) in a room and if someone just ran around each of them hitting them in the nuts with a comically big sledgehammer. It wouldn’t have a complex narrative arc per se, but I think the overall message of the story would be a winner.
