Scott on Alien prequel

In the most recent issue of Empire Magazine, Empire sat down with acclaimed director Ridley Scott and asked him all kinds of questions, including what more could he dish about the upcmoing ALIEN prequel he’s involved with. And what do you know, the guy actually responded with some meaty details!

It’s a brand new box of tricks. We know what the road map is, and the screenplay is now being put on paper. The prequel will be a while ago. It’s very difficult to put a year on ‘Alien,’ but [for example] if ‘Alien’ was towards the end of this century, then the prequel story will take place thirty years prior.

Sorry Sigourney, looks like you won’t have a place in Scott’s latest ALIEN outing. But that’s ok… in fact, a prequel like this is actually just what the francse needs to be reborn again. No more fighting Predators, no more bringing the dead back to life, just pure and simple Aliens f*cking shit up.
