Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World 10 year reunion table read happens next week

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD is approaching its 10th anniversary on August 13 and to celebrate a bit early, the cast is getting together for a reunion table read that will premiere next week.

Set to appear are Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Aubrey Plaza, Ellen Wong, Kieran Culkin, Mark Webber, Johnny Simmons, Alison Pill, Satya Bhabha, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman. Writer-director Edgar Wright, co-writer Michael Bacall, and author/artist Bryan Lee O'Malley will also be on deck for the reunion. The reunion table read starts Monday, July 20th at 1:00 PM ET, 10:00 AM PT

Not only will this be sweet nostalgia for fans but it will also benefit a good cause. The table read will benefit the Water For People charity which "promotes the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments." This virtual table read isn't exactly how anyone thought a SCOTT PILGRIM reunion would happen but it still seems like an event that fans will want to be a part of. You can read the following statement from the cast and crew below about the reunion:

"Thank you, Scott Pilgrim fans! Without you, there would be no ten-year anniversary celebration. And then we wouldn't be able to bring you Scott Pilgrim Vs the World Water Crisis, brought to you not-at-all-live from the comfort of our homes during a global pandemic quarantine shut-down. This is definitely how we imagined marking this birthday."

Saying the fans are responsible for the lasting success of SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD is a very true statement. The film was not a box office success upon its release in 2010 but it slowly started to gain momentum over the years and is now hailed as a true cult classic. Fans should be excited that, in addition to the table read, Edgar Wright said the film will be re-released into theaters for its tenth anniversary. There is no timeline on that as of now due to the current situation with the movie theaters but it's something Wright is very excited about.

Will YOU be there for the reunion table read?
