There are very few times I wish I lived in L.A. (Being a New Yorker, I’m predisposed to disliking the place, and I actually do.) This is one of them. On October 16th, SCREAMFEST begins at Grauman’s Chinese Theater – an event so cool, featuring so many freaky flicks, that I’m pretty damn tempted to just fly on out there for the whole thing. I won’t, but I’m tempted.
SCREAMFEST has announced it’s full slate of flicks, and there are certainly a few choice options. Everything opens on the 16th with the action-suspense film THE TOURNAMENT, starring Kelly Hu, Ving Rhames, and Robert Caryle, and continues through the 25th. The list includes VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (which is supposed to be unbearably disgusting), WRONG TURN 3, THE TRIANGLE, and perhaps most interestingly, the long- awaited CABIN FEVER 2. Everything closes out with the alien-abduction yarn THE FOURTH KIND.
Tickets are only $10 a piece – and the WRONG TURN 3 screening is FREE! Can’t beat that. For more info and to purchase tickets, head on over to the official Screamfest site.
