Screenwriter Will Beall says Legend of Conan will be a worthy sequel

The long-awaited THE LEGEND OF CONAN still has no director attached, but it's in active development. Says screenwriter Will Beall: "Chris [Morgan] and I are continuing to hone. I think that’s going to be a great movie actually.”

The AQUAMAN writer also revealed an important detail about the film, which will feature Arnold Schwazenegger returning to the role after more than 30 years. He says the new movie will continue after CONAN THE BARBARIAN's final shot, which is depicted above:

It opens there. It opens with this [hand on the chin]. It’s where you have to. It’s the sequel that we were promised and never got. I’m 11 when my father took me to see Conan the Barbarian which you should never take an 11-year-old kid to. It was a life changing thing. It’s an unbelievable movie. It comes back to [director John] Milius, right? There’s nobody better and it’s a real movie. It’s a truthful movie. Chris and I from the very beginning said there’s no reason to do it unless it’s a worthy sequel to Milius’s Conan and I think we’ve got that. I really do.

There is no further news regarding the movie's actual production, but the more we're seeing the shape of what the story will be, the more it seems like it's worth pushing forward. More news on this story as it breaks!
