Back in June, we brought you the most excellent news that the first season of the “The Twilight Zone” was heading to Blu-ray in September, complete with even more features than the already-outstanding DVD release possesses. Quite splendidly, it hasn’t taken long for an announcement regarding the Blu-ray of Season 2 of the landmark series!
According to Blu-ray.com, the second season will come out on NOVEMBER 16th, just two months after the first season hits on SEPTEMBER 14th. That’s really groovy. Not all of the supplements have been revealed, but among other things, the 4-disc release will contain all 29 episodes of the second season with 1080p video, an uncompressed monaural soundtrack, and new supplements include: “Nightmare At Ground Zero,” an episode from the TV series Suspense; George T. Clemens audio interview (1978), part 2; and a William Tuttle audio interview.
The second season is just great, and for you on the fringes of being a TZ fanatic (as opposed to a full-blown one, like myself) it contains “Nick of Time”, “The Invaders”, “The Obsolete Man”, “The Odyssey of Flight 33” and “The Silence”, among others. I’m kind of hesitant in general to double-dip – and the DVD box set really is amazing – but I’ll still jump on “The Twilight Zone” immediately when it hits Blu.
