Season 5 of Arrested Development is just a matter of when

Netflix became a major player almost overnight with series like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. They show no signs of slowing down, especially with the first of five Marvel shows airing next year. Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, hasn’t forgotten about Arrested Development either. Despite less-than-stellar reviews for the fourth season of the Bluth family, Sarandos says another season is “just a matter of when.”

Due to conflicting schedules, season four of Arrested Development had a very different structure in comparison to it’s mostly golden first three seasons. The latest season instead would focus on one or two characters at a time, with limited exposure to the rest of the family. While an interesting concept, it didn’t exactly deliver for fans of the show who mostly enjoyed the family as it should be; together. Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz has previously stated that he intended to make a movie before moving on to another season, but that may not be an option at this point. Either way, this is good news for fans of the show as we will probably end up getting the Bluth’s one way or another.
