Lucky McKee (MAY) has had an interesting time of it with his follow up flick THE WOODS. Between release date switcheroo’s and ratings rumors (PG-13??????), it’s been a bumpy ride to distribution for this little bugger. So here’s what we know for sure so far –
The cast kicks ass: Agnes Bruckner (VENOM), Patricia Clarkson (WENDIGO) and one uber-cool kicker of undead ass Bruce Campbell.
The concept is creeeeeepy: Weird events + Forest + Girl’s Private School = Good genre fun!
It’s getting a limited release from Screen Gems on September 16th in the following markets:
New York
– LA
– Chicago
– Detroit
– Houston
– Dallas
– San Diego
– Phoenix
– Orlando
– Denver
So it’s not going to be the wide release we were hoping for, but at least it’s more than a couple of screens. Here’s hoping this one shows legs and gets a chance to shine.
