Seed money to PETA

We all know Uwe Boll is a great man, that’s never been in question. Now he’s doing everything he can to become even greater: he’s going to show us horrifying footage of animals getting tortured so we can better understand ourselves. I know, I’m incredibly moved too.

The opening of his new film SEED, coming “to theaters” in October, features graphic images of animals being abused and tortured. To what end? To callously “shock” and disgust you? No, “to show the world how messed up humans are as a species.” That’s a direct quote from the man himself.

Boll, in a press release defending his misunderstood brilliance, goes on to say “If humans were extinct and only animals inhabited Earth, our planet would survive. The PETA footage demonstrates that humans are not intrinsically good. People kill mercilessly, without emotion, for sport, profit and other forms of self-indulgence.”

“After you watch the opening of SEED, your world will be permanently altered.”

Hasn’t Boll permanently altered us enough? He’s such a humanitarian, he’s going to “donate 2.5% of the worldwide, net profits from SEED to PETA.” That’s right folks, he’s going to give PETA $6.25, out of his own pocket. Leave it to Dr. Boll to make a film that on the surface seems like a cheap, cliched B-movie about a mass murderer back from the dead and dispatching his enemies in awful ways, but is really a cry for civilization to make nice and live in harmony with the animals. If you don’t learn that lesson, you’re just a bastard.
