We love us some bloody action to go along with our horror around here, and Xavier Gens’ HITMAN, for all its flaws, was a bloody action movie. I haven’t exactly been clamoring for a follow-up, but it looks like there’s gonna be one, reports Deadline.com. According to the site, the sequel will be helmed by Daniel Benmayor, a Spanish director who helmed Filmax’s action-horror flick PAINTBALL. He’s also created television spots for the likes of Sony PlayStation, Renault, Mercedes, Heineken and Samsung.
Apparently the story will take a cue from the HITMAN 5 video game, in which Agent 47 is a beaten man and must build himself back psychologically and physically to reclaim his mantle as world’s most feared assassin.
Timothy Olyphant is uncertain to return, and the same goes for Olga Kurylenko (pictured below); a Fall production start is being eyed.
