Serial Killer Days coming

There’s nothing finer than a dark horror comedy to lighten up my day. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but there’s something about the mix of laughter and terror that rubs me the right way, so when a dark horror comedy is announced, my ass is there with bells and whistles.

According to the boys over at HorrorMovies.ca, Jason Reitman, the director of JUNO (and son of Ivan), has a horror comedy up his sleeve just waiting to get out. The flick’s called SERIAL KILLER DAYS and it goes a little something like this:

[The film] tells the story of a town that has become the hunting grounds for a serial killer. Rather then cowering or flee’ing to the hills the town capitalizes on this problem by running festivals and fairs all dedicated to the fact that their town has a serial killer who has not been caught.

Pretty f*cked up, huh? Not to mention pretty flippin’ awesome! The premise sounds different and fun, and with Reitman on board to direct, I’d say it’s in very good hands. Say what you will, but JUNO was a well crafted film, and seeing the guy do the same thing to something as dark as this… sounds like a good time to me!
