Seth at Comic-Con!

Originally Seth Rogen was set to appear on the Comic-Con floor at 6:30pm on Preview Night to pull the cover off the Black Beauty, the car he’ll be driving in THE GREEN HORNET. But word of his appearance leaked and Comic-Con officials worried there would be a fire hazard (and there would have – preview day was packed). So they pushed it back to an 8:30pm time to throw people off. And THAT time leaked out. Instead of canceling the event wholesale, which I’m told was a very real possibility, Sony instead decided to wait until after the floor was closed and bring in a select group of press to cover the event.

Seth was joined by director Michel Gondry, writer Evan Goldberg and producer Neal Moritz and they quickly got up to say a few words. Rogen said he was glad he could make a surprise appearance at Comic-Con even though it was a surprise only to people who don’t know how to use the internet. He talked about how a lot of people thought this movie would never get made but this is proof they’re really doing this thing. He said he’d like to have Gondry say a few words but we wouldn’t understand what he’s saying anyway.

At that time, he made his way to the front of the car and pulled back the cover revealing the Black Beauty. Unlike the Tumbler or other superhero vehicles you may have seen, it has a very retro feel to it and isn’t super sleek or highly stylized. Just an old car with two giant gatling guns coming out of the hood. Check out the pics below from the event!
