Last week we let you know that production was set to start in early 2015 on Sony’s adaptation of their best-selling video game UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE. The Seth Gordon directed feature has been doing the rounds for years and now we are settling in for some confirmed dates. Reports today announced that the UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE release date will be June 10, 2016. This is a great choice for a prime summer movie if there ever was one.

The Uncharted games are addictive if you’re into killing countless/nameless enemies while doing Indiana Jones-style action across the globe. They play as interactive movies and have personally given me hours of fun and excitement. The Uncharted franchise is known for its story and excellent presentation; the characters and plot are so well developed across all the games it would be shame for them not to bring that same level of care to the big screen adaptation.

I think I speak for fans of the game worldwide when I say please don’t screw this up.
