Several actors added to the cast of Bad Robot’s WWII horror Overlord

Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams' production company Bad Robot still haven't revealed whether or not their World War II horror project OVERLORD will indeed be the fourth film in the CLOVERFIELD anthology series (following CLOVERFIELD, 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, and the upcoming GOD PARTICLE), but they have just announced the complete cast for the film.

Joining the previously announced Jovan Adepo and Wyatt Russell, the new cast members are Jacob Anderson, Dominic Applewhite, Pilou Asbaek, Iain de Caestecker, John Magaro, Mathilde Ollivier, and Bokeem Woodbine.

Being completely honest, I'm not familiar with most of these cast members by name, but there is one I am an established fan of – it's always great to see Bokeem Woodbine (pictured above) show up in something.

Now heading into production, OVERLORD is being directed by Julis Avery from a screenplay by Billy Ray and Mark L. Smith.

The synopsis:

On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment.

Ray and Abrams first got this project set up at Paramount ten years ago, it's just taken a while to get it moving forward.
