There’s a whole lotta names to process here, so hang with me for a moment. The folks over at the Wrap have revealed a plethora of actors who are either auditioning or in negotiations to star in WRATH OF THE TITANS, Warner Bros.’ sequel to their stinky-yet-successful hit from last year CLASH OF THE TITANS.
First up, Edgar Ramirez (whom you may have recently seen in the epic CARLOS) is officially in negotiations to play “Ares”; meanwhile, Toby Kebbell (ROCKNROLLA) is apparently close to accepting an offer to play “Agenor”. UNDERWORLD star and all around badass Bill Nighy is being courted to play “Hephaestus”.
That’s it for the sausage party; thankfully there are some ladies in the mix as well. Hayley Atwell, the female lead in this summer’s CAPTAIN AMERICA, has tested for the role of Andromeda. Other actresses being considered for the vital role are Georgina Haig, Janet Montgomery, Dominique McElligott and Clemence Poesy.
So there you have it, a whole bunch of names to chew on. Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Gemma Arterton and Ralph Fiennes will all return in WRATH, which is scheduled to hit theaters in spring 2012.
