Sheen is Tortured

For no apparent reason, Charlie Sheen has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming movie TORTURED. The film is from Twisted Pictures, the peeps behind the SAW movies, and will be directed by Rob Lieberman (FIRE IN THE SKY). It is about a couple “who hit their limit after they experience the loss of their 5 -year old son to a pedophile. Once the judicial system also fails to deliver, the couple is forced to turn inside and releases the animal that lives within.” Hopefully that animal will be a pimp blue lion, like with Leoric from Visionaries.

You know what? I think Charlie Sheen might be about to kill the revenge genre. I have to imagine whoever cast this film made their decisions by flicking through mid-afternoon television and then stopping randomly on a show the way you do when you’re playing Musical Chairs. I’ve enjoyed a bunch of his performances but in a hard-boiled revenge flick? Apparently “the picture is quite compelling, the ending is unpredictable and the film has a moral message.” Although I don’t know if B-D are being sarcastic. I would also be worried whenever the word ‘quite’ is used in a film’s description.
