A couple weeks ago we saw the second trailer for Rupert Wyatt’s RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, and now, thanks to 20th Century Fox, we have a shorter international trailer to mull over. I can’t say I’m losing sleep with anticipation over this flick, but I do like the way the main ape in the film, Caesar, does a flying leap out of the bushes to help save a threatened John Lithgow. Little f*cker went WWF on homeboy!
Due August 5th, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
James Franco, Freida Pinto (below), Tom Felton, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Tyler Labine, David Hewlett, Sonja Bennett, Leah Gibson and Chelah Horsdal all appear in the movie.
