Shue Confessions

UPDATE – The SPOILER portion of the Elizabeth Shue interview mentioned below has been removed, so you can read the dear lass’s comments with no fear of ruining the ending – UPDATE

posted a lengthy interview with Elisabeth Shue in which she talks a little about her involvement in the DeNiro/Fanning vehicle, HIDE AND SEEK. I have to admit from the moment I laid eyes on her in THE KARATE KID, my young heart skipping to the funky techno beat of , I’ve been in love with the lass. Alas she has burned me deep. If I’m reading it correctly, there is a major spoiler about the ending of HIDE AND SEEK that prompts and she lets slip. It came outta nowhere so I had no time to hide. You can check out the full interview , or just read below for a nice, safe sample:

Question: What do you feel about the genre of horror and more serious actors working in it?

Elisabeth: When you get a script and Robert De Niro is attached and Dakota Fanning, you don’t really question the genre unnecessarily and I’d been in a movie a long time ago that was sort of a horror film, so I didn’t have any snobbery towards the genre. (Laughs) It’s called Link.

Question: When you were sold on this project, how did they bring it to you?

Aw hell, Lizzy baby. I just can’t stay mad at ya. Call me.
